Introduction
Corona Pandemic Crisis has left many different effects over life areas
such as the economic, social and political effects. The crisis of COVID-19
pandemic or Corona Pandemic crisis is a global crisis that is a health crisis
of the current time as it emerged in China and represented a great challenge
because it quickly spread all over the world and has let great impacts on
different areas of life. The crisis has left its impacts over different aspects
of life. The current paper is discussing the Corona Pandemic crisis in the
world and its different effects on the different areas of life globally.
Discussion
Corona Pandemic is not only a health crisis but it has many social,
economic and political effects that cause stress and lead to many problems on
the individuals and nations' levels. Such Effects can leave future scars over
nations, corporates and families as the life styles have been changing based on
the impact of the quarantine period that many people around the world have been
going into. This period and the other factors that associated Corona Pandemic
crisis such as fear from getting sick or death made shops close, factories
close, people lose their jobs and many different business portals have closed
such as hotels, resorts, parks and other areas. Countries that depend on
tourism and shopping activities turned to find other ways and substitutes for
earning living. Probable losses in jobs are estimated by the International
Labor Organization by 195 million jobs. The World Bank estimates a decline in the
current year remittances with US $ 110 Billion and this means that a number of
800 million persons can't reach their main needs. The economic impact has made
governments feel worried about the future and apply changes that can help
overcome the loss and suffering of the economy. Decision makers in each country
are working hard to find effective means beyond recovery and to manage
complexity and uncertainty in societies. The economic crisis is attacking all
world economies and all income levels, recent data from the Centre for Systems
Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University states that the pandemic
spread across countries in relation to deaths and cases is almost asymmetric.
Many countries have low levels of deaths and affected cases but they also
suffer from the economic crisis because of the global impact on many things
such as currency rates, stopping of purchasing and exporting movements and
others. These things led many countries to suffer low levels of incomes and a
change in the way people spend their money and corporates manage their
business. (Mustafa, 2020)
The effects of Corona Pandemic Crisis are also social as people in all
different societies around the world have been applying social distance and
changed the different means of face to face communication such as visitations
and family gatherings to use different applications to contact and communicate
each other in order to avoid meetings and any social activities that can
increase the possibilities of infection with Corona Virus. Another important
issue societies have been suffering is the great change in the educational
systems. Schools and universities are almost closed in 2020 as educational
systems turned to apply online and distant learning rather than schools face to
face learning processes, teacher began to use online applications and many of
them are not well prepared for such online and video conferencing applications
which delayed the learning and educational processes and many teachers suffered
and students couldn't get the exact and proper learning requirements that
enable them to reach the learning goals they have. Schools' closure has led to
many sufferings and left many social and economic consequences. The impact of
Corona Virus Crisis has been clear over problems and issues such as food
insecurity students suffer and shortage in online resources in many countries
in particular in the Middle East and other developing countries that are not
able to implement digital and distant learning in the way that ensure safe
examination and effective learning for all students in all grades. Accessing
students through remote means requires many supportive tools such as strong
internet which supports online testing and the digital materials that can help
teachers and students access the data they need. Society problems also include
fears from restaurants, public areas and getting out which caused many
psychological problems to many people and affected their abilities to work and
produce to build the society they are living in. (Oecd, 2020)
The effects of the crisis affected governments and changed their
policies as the crisis resulted in domestic resource mobilization as the
economy in all countries is reduced especially in the developing countries as
trade loss has affected the plans of development and sustainability governments
have made. (Undp, 2020)
The impact of Corona Pandemic Crisis affected labor as countries suffer
a great reduction in labor input as sick people are unable to work and others
fear of the infection as there is about 50% of the world population who are
contracting the disease and about 61% of them among the workforce and they
don't go to work for long time that affected the budgets of governments and
private corporations as their salaries are still paid in spite of the stat of
not working they are on. This labor reduction also resulted in lower outputs
and less production, another problem is associated with the death cases related
to coronavirus and the results from them as people whose families suffer deaths
are also not able to work or present any production for public and private
sectors. Prices are increasing and people can't afford many things they used to
purchase, the fear of future made them reduce the purchasing budgets they have
and change the shopping habits they used to have. Capital productivity has been changed as a result of
the economy productivity reduction as a result of the idle capacity and the
breakdown that occurred in the global supply chains, this has led economies to
suffer and resulted in political issues between countries that have business in
other countries such as China where many business activities are reduced and
shrunk. International trade costs have increased and led to technological
shocks as the need for technology in managing supply chains have declared the
shortage in technology in many world supply chains and delay in delivering
items using online technology of purchasing. Yet many other companies have made
use of such change and soon coped with the need of technology implementation
and they made good profits of employing freelancers online and support online
purchasing. These changes in all areas of life will sure leave their effects on
the future trends of purchasing, education, social life and communication. (Hallem
et al, 2020)
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Corona Pandemic Crisis has left many effects on all
areas of life globally as the changes that occurred affected economic, social
and political life aspects. Governments have suffered the labor reduction that
was resulted from fears of the virus or from being infected or having deaths
from virus Corona. Education has been affected as it turned to the online and
distant learning that declared shortage in the methodologies of digital
learning materials and how teachers can communicate with students. The impact
also affected public and private corporations and led to the need for finding
better technologies to use online purchasing and internet business tools that
can help in managing supply chains.
